Specialisterne USA

Specialisterne USA is a non-profit social enterprise that pioneered the Autism @ Work movement in the US. We collaborate with corporations, universities, high schools, and community agencies to enhance recruiting by examining traditional recruiting, training and on-boarding practices to help companies to employ work-ready neurodiverse talent.  Specialisterne USA works to ensure every neurodiverse person who wants a job, gets a job.

Program Overview

Kinesso is currently sourcing autistic individuals to participate in the Specialisterne Autism@Work three-week assessment. Applications will be accepted up through February 28th by filling out this survey.

Those individuals with the interest, aptitude, and skills with a high probability of success will be invited to participate in the 3-week assessment. This unpaid 3-week assessment is designed to ensure the candidates experience the workplace and culture of Kinesso, and learn key skills to be able to work effectively with their teams.

The Assessment will begin on March 23rd and continue through April 10th. Successful candidates will progress to a paid 90-day internship position where at the end of the 90 days, a decision will be made whether to extend a regular full-time offer of employment. All successful graduates of the Specialisterne Autism@Work three-week assessment, regardless of a job offer, can put the successful completion on their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to show workplace readiness.

The assessment program, as well as the potential future job duties will take place at the Kinesso offices at 100 W. 33rd Street, New York, NY 10001.

Application and Selection Process

The application process for the Specialisterne Informational Workshops and the 3-week assessment is managed by Kinesso with the aid of Specialisterne USA.

You will be notified by March 2nd if you will be moving on to the Information Workshops, held either March 10th or March 11th. Successful candidates will be informed on March 13th if they will be invited to attend the Specialisterne 3-week Autism@Work Assessment.


Information Workshops

The Informational Workshops will be conducted so applicants can be introduced to Specialisterne’s Assessment process as well as Kinesso and the positions that are available as part of this program.  

Candidates must bring:

  • Written autistic diagnosis

Three-Week Specialisterne USA Assessment

Applicants for this Autism@Work assessment program will be evaluated, assessed and selected according to the standard Specialisterne methodology.

Those demonstrating proven autism diagnosis, appropriate interest and aptitude through a resume review as well as a telephone/video discussion with Specialisterne staff will be invited to participate in a 3-week skills evaluation and assessment program in New York. The available slots are limited. The 3-week assessment is being held before the Kinesso paid internship program.

Successful candidates will progress to a paid 90-day internship position where at the end of the 90 days, a decision will be made whether to extend a regular full-time offer of employment beginning approximately April 27th, 2020. At the end of three months, a review will take place with the candidates and Kinesso to ensure both are happy to continue working together. If both parties are in agreement, a regular full-time offer will be extended at that time. All positions included in this program, from the 3-week assessment through to employment are positions working 37.5 hours per week.

  • Entry Level Analyst and Database Manager
    This job is perfect for a person who can collect data, and make it align beautifully so the team can make sense of the data (model and analyze) so we can answer the following question: “Does advertising drive sales? How?”
  • Entry Level Data Analytics
    We use deep dive analytics and work with audience behaviors to advise our media planning and campaign management teams on how to improve their brands’ campaigns.
  • Entry Level Digital Operations
    Our team supports the delivery of online advertising by using digital technology platforms to test and manage the delivery of online campaigns for some of the largest and most respected global brands.
  • Entry Level Digital Media Buyer
    We are the numbers behind advertising. In this job you will help decide where ads should go and who should be seeing it based on data. You will use the data to inform decision making.
  • Entry Level Product Design
    We are the Design Innovation Team – we sit on the Innovation Team in the Data and Tech Department. We bring Thought Leadership across UX, UI, and Strategy to Kinesso and to IPG.
